Our founder, James Douglas, used the tailoring skills he learned early in life to serve our country as a ship's tailor in the U.S. Navy.  Douglas the Tailor began servicing the uniform needs of Macomb County and the surrounding Metro Detroit area in two different locations in East Detroit (Eastpointe).  The business then moved to Roseville where it grew for thirty five years and moved to our current Roseville location in 2008.

We pride ourselves on personal service to our customers.  Our small "family" of workers have been employed for a period of time ranging from one to fifty five years.  Our tailors are second to none in quality and experience.
